A 48-year-old woman was stabbed to death in the Far South Side Roseland neighborhood on Sunday.

Officers were called about noon to a home in the 11300 block of South Parnell where Janice Coleman was found dead, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office. Her home address wasn’t available.

An autopsy on Monday found she died of multiple stab wounds and her death was ruled a homicide.

Police initially said it was being treated as a death investigation and could not immediately provide further details on Monday afternoon.
