A man was shot to death Friday afternoon in the Little Village neighborhood on the Southwest Side, police said.
About 4:40 p.m., 19-year-old Johnny Coria was walking in the 3000 block of South Kedvale when someone walked up and opened fire, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
Coria, whose home address was not immediately known, was shot in the chest and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 5:10 p.m., the medical examiner’s officer said. An autopsy Saturday ruled his death a homicide.
