Cubs fans are excited to see their team in the playoffs once again. They are so ecstatic that they are willing to forgive a team nemesis.

This week, a Cubs fan set up a GoFundMe page to send Steve Bartman to the team’s upcoming wild card game. Despite the fan’s efforts, Bartman decided to decline the offer.

From ESPN:

But according to Bartman’s spokesman: He has no intention of being at the wild card game. Steve is glad the money will go to a good cause and will be cheering on the Cubs as always.

Bartman will forever be remembered for this catch many would later blame for the Cubs losing the game — and eventually, the series.

According to Bartman’s camp, if he doesn’t go, the money raised will be donated to the Alzheimer’s Association.
