View image | gettyimages.comJust a couple days after his younger teammate, Kris Bryant, entered the home run derby, Anthony Rizzo has done the same.

In his second ever All-Star Game, Rizzo has decided to enter in the annual home run contest. Rizzo is having arguably the best season of his career this year. The first baseman is leading the team in nearly every offensive category and is the middle of the resurgent Cubs team.

The MLB is once again doing a bracket style derby. The pairings were released Wednesday and Rizzo was given the 6 seed. He will start off against Toronto’s Josh Donaldson. Bryant will have a much bigger challenge, he and Pujols make up the 8-1 matchup.

Rizzo only has 16 home runs on the season, 11 off the league leader. He will have a small advantage with the game in Cincinnati. During his time in Chicago, Rizzo has played 23 games at Cincinnati’s Great American Ball Park. He’s hit 6 home runs during those games, tied for the most of any other park away from Wrigley.
