After straining his quad on July 4, Cubs No. 13 prospect Daniel Vogelbach said he’s able to play for the Double-A Tennessee Smokies again.

The Cubs’ No. 1 first base prospect was hitting .284 with five home runs, 27 runs-scored and 34 RBI in 60 Double-A games this season. There’s no indication what day Vogelbach will return to the starting lineup.
