A man was shot in the Southwest Side Ashburn neighborhood Friday evening.

The 42-year-old suffered a graze wound to the head in the 4000 block of West 83rd Street about 5:04 p.m., police said.

He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn where his condition was stabilized, police said.

A police source said the man is a documented gang member.
