The Bears defense was porous, at best, against the Arizona Cardinals Sunday. There weren’t many inspiring performance at all on the Bears side, but there were some rookies who displayed some big-play ability.
First, rookie wideout Joshua Bellamy caught his first ever NFL touchdown on a 48-yard pass from Jay Cutler to even the score at 7.
Then fellow rookie Jeremy Langford scored on this goal line play for his first rushing touchdown.
Langford finished the game with a 3.5 rushing yards per carry average, on six carries for 21 yards on the ground.
Bellamy led the team in receiving yards (48) and receiving touchdowns (1) in the Bears blow-out defeat.
Chicago’s offense managed over 300 yards but could not keep pace with a Cardinals team that scored the ball in all three phases of the game.
