Three men were injured in a shooting early Sunday in the East Garfield Park neighborhood on the West Side.
The men, ages 17, 21 and 27, were standing outside about 12:30 a.m. in the 3600 block of West 5th Avenue when they heard gunfire and felt pain, police said.
All three men were shot in the leg, police said. The 17-year-old was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, while the two older men were taken to Stroger Hospital. All of their conditions were stabilized.
A police source said the 27-year-old man is a documented gang member.
Early Thursday, a 24-year-old man was critically wounded in a shooting on the same block.
In that incident, the man got into an argument with two other men about 1:45 a.m. in the 3600 block of West 5th Avenue, when one of the men pulled out a gun and fired shots, police said. The two men then ran away.
He was shot in the chest and taken in critical condition to Mount Sinai, police said at the time.
