PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – The Bears have their “Refrigerator”.

William “The Refrigerator” Perry, the Bears first-round draft choice, signed a four-year contract today, ending a two-week holdout.

Terms of the contract for the 6-foot-2, 318-pound All-American defensive tackle from Clemson were not disclosed.

Perry, known as “The Refrigerator” because of his bulk, worked out with the first team in full pads this morning.

Perry and his agent, Jim Steiner, flew to the Bears’ training camp at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville last night and Steiner met with General Manager Jerry Vainisi until 3 a.m.
