Redskins tight end Jordan Reed celebrated a first down during the first half of Sunday’s game at Soldier Field by pretending to pull a gun from a holster and “fire” it toward the crowd.
Problem is, that’s not that funny in Chicago, where there have been more than 2,800 shooting victims in 2015 alone, according to the Chicago Tribune.
Fans took to Twitter to express their displeasure with Reed’s gun celebration:
Yeah Jordan Reed, I'm pretty sure you shouldn't celebrate a 1st down catch by taking a gun out of the holster and shooting it..IN CHICAGO!

That Jordan Reed gun first down celebration may not play well in #Chicago. #WSHvsCHI

Jordan Reed needs to stop with his gun slinging gesture after a good play @Redskins
