A 15-year-old boy was shot and killedWednesday afternoon in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

Officers found Davion Funchesunresponsive on a sidewalk with gunshot wounds to the chest at4:38 p.m. in the 6100 block of South Rockwell, according to Chicago Police.

Funches, who lived on the 6000 block of South Albany,was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 5:18 p.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.His death was ruled a homicide.
