A man was killed Thursday morning in a shooting in the Southwest Side Ashburn neighborhood, police said.

Joseph Burdine, 24, was shot shot several times in the back about 11:10 a.m. in the 7900 block of South Kedzie, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Burdine, of the 8000 block of South Troy, was pronounced dead at the scene at 11:20 a.m., according to the medical examiner’s office.
