CHAMPAIGN — Recognize that face above? It belongs to quarterback Jeff George. Make that Jeff George Jr., son of the former Illinois and NFL passer, who may not have lived up to the hype as a pro but absolutely crushed it here in college.

The younger George, an 18-year-old from Indianapolis, was a mid-year enrollee. Illinois lists him at 6-3, 190 and as a three-star recruit. George led his high school team to an Indiana Class 6A title in 2013.
