Michigan State is a school that should sit atop the collegiate athletes world.

The Spartan basketball team is a constant powerhouse in the national basketball tournament and the football team is currently undefeated on the year. The Michigan State coaches may have a lot to do with their teams’ success, but they have been deflecting any such talk.

In a recent press conference, Sparty hoops coach Tom Izzo endorsed Michigan State alumna Jemele Hill for the position of president — even though many say he and football coach Mark Dantonio would make good governors.

The ESPN analyst and TV show host Hill has a background in sports reporting, so taking occupancy in the White House may not be on her list of things to do.

Hill probably earned Izzo’s support after she released this rant about Michigan fans deserving to lose against Michigan State in the manner in which it did last Saturday.
