There are a few questions that always drive up the blood pressure of sports fans. Right up there with “Is quarterback X elite?” is “Was this season a disappointment?”

The Cubs and, just as importantly, their fans find themselves in an unexpected situation. They are a year ahead of schedule and have out performed just about every prediction.

However, with only one game deciding their future, if the Cubs lose Wednesday in the Wild Card game how disappointed should their fans be? Sun Times Network’s Jim McAteer tackles that always difficult question.
