James Wawrzaszek sent photos to back up emailing, “I pity those who gave up on the open water season too soon. Smallmouth bass and rock bass have been on fire all fall and into the early winter season.’’
The faithful fisherman of the DuPage River sent along this smallmouth from Sunday.
“I have only had a white 4-inch grub with a jig tied on since September because they keep on biting it,’’ he emailed. `The fish have still been surprisingly close to current, too.’’
