A 37-year-old west suburban man man died early Sunday when his truck crashed on Interstate 294 near Oak Brook.

At 1:16 a.m., a Ford pickup truck swerved into a Nissan Sentra in the northbound I-294 lanes at mile marker 28.25 and rolled over, according to Illinois State Police.

The pickup’s driver was dead at the scene. He was identified as Aragon H. Abel, of the 100 block of South Caryl Avenue in Northlake, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

A 34-year-old man riding as a passenger in the pickup was taken to Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove with minor injuries, state police said. No one in the Nissan was hurt.

The right two lanes were shut down in the area of the crash for more than four hours as state police investigated.
