Bulls beat Spurs despite zero field goals in final 6:30

The Bulls’ best win of the season came in an unexpected way.

Chicago struggled to make shots down the stretch, but capitalized on opportunities at the free-throw line and played stingy defense to beat San Antonio 92-89. The Bulls didn’t make a basket during the final 6:30 of the fourth quarter.

Holding on to a one-point lead with less than 30 seconds remaining, Jimmy Butler drew a foul and extended Chicago’s lead to three from the free-throw stripe.

Derrick Rose blocked Tony Parker’s last-second 3-point attempt to preserve the win.

Butler finished with 14 while Rose had 11. Pau Gasol led the Bulls with 18 while Kawhi Leonard had a game-high 25 for the Spurs.
