The 1985 Chicago Bears were almost considered to be two separate teams because of the presence of their two most notable coaches — head coach Mike Ditka and defensive coordinator Buddy Ryan.
Otis Wilson, a linebacker on the team, said if he had to pick a coach, he’d go with Ryan.
“I’m a Buddy Ryan guy,” Wilson said. “Buddy Ryan was my man. And he’ll always be my man. So I got Buddy Ryan.”
