(LISLE) A Braidwood man is charged with stealing equipment from a home under construction in west suburban Lisle.

Andrew J. Hardy, 27, is charged with one felony count of burglary for the Saturday incident in the 2500 block of Retreat Circle, authorities said.

Officers responded about 8:45 p.m., and found that someone burglarized a home under construction, police said. Two people were taken into custody, and allegedly stolen construction equipment and materials were recovered at the scene.

Hardy, of the 1000 block of Cermak Road in Braidwood, is being held on a $5,000 bond, according to the DuPage County Sheriff’s office.

It wasn’t immediately known if charges were pending against the other man.
