A northwest suburban man redeemed a winning lottery ticket worth $450,000 last month in Arlington Heights.

Calvin Rateike bought the Quick Pick ticket at Westgate Newsstand in Arlington Heights for the May 7 drawing and matched all five numbers: 09 – 22 – 25- 33 – 37. The Illinois Lottery announced his win Thursday.

Rateike, who has lived in Rolling Meadows for 36 years, said he plans to pay bills, invest and do some traveling, lottery officials said.

Westgate Newsstand will receive a $4,500 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
