A man who was fatally shot Wednesday night inthe West Rogers Park neighborhood on the North Side has been identified.

Kaysar Chako, 19,was sitting in a parked vehicle in the 3000 block of West Devon about 9 p.m. when someone exiting a store fired shots, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Chako, of the 1900 block of Parkside Drive in Park Ridge, was pronounced dead at the scene at 9:39 p.m., according to the medical examiner’s office.

An autopsy found he died of multiple gunshot wounds and his death was ruled a homicide.

Late Monday, a man was shot to death less than a mile away.

The man, 24, was found by a tenant with two gunshot wounds to the head in the entry way of the complex in the 7800 block of South Laflin Street about 1:30 a.m., police said.
State troopers responding to the shooting about 8:10 p.m. found the woman, 25, with injuries considered life threatening, fire officials and Illinois state police said.

Jaylun Sanders, 21, faces two counts of first-degree murder in the shooting. A second man, 20-year-old Kameron Abram, faces weapons and trespassing charges, police said.
