A 16-year-old boy was critically wounded in a drive-by shooting Wednesday afternoon in the North Lawndale neighborhood on the West Side.

He was sitting on the corner in the 1300 block of South Homan at 12:57 p.m. when a dark vehicle approached and someone inside opened fire, according to Chicago Police.

The boy was shot in the chest, buttocks and heel; and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in guarded condition, police said.
