A 16-year-old boy was shot Friday night in the South Side Woodlawn neighborhood.

He was walking down the street in the 800 block of East 62nd at 8:45 p.m. when he heard shots and realized he’d been hit in the left leg, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
