Chicago Police are cautioning business owners on a Belmont Central block after a pair of armed robberies last week in the Northwest Side neighborhood.

One or more men used a gun to rob the shops in the 6200 block of West Belmont, according to an alert from Jefferson Park District police.

Both robberies happened about 10:45 p.m., first on July 5 and then again July 9, the alert said.

The robbers wore scarves or masks while running behind the counter with a gun to take cash from the register, police said.

Anyone with information should call Area North detectives at (312) 744-8263.
