Police are cautioning residents of the Dunning neighborhood on the Northwest Side after several garage burglaries were reported in recent weeks.

According to an alert from Area North detectives, the burglaries occurred:

-between 1 a.m. and 1:30 a.m. on July 1 in the 3200 block of North Oconto;

-about midnight on July 4 in the 3300 block of North Overhill;

-between 8 a.m. on July 7 and 11:30 a.m. on July 8 in the 3200 block of North Ottawa;

-between midnight and 9:30 a.m. on July 8 in the 3200 block of North Ozark.

In each case, one or more suspects either forced their way into a garage or went through an unlocked door before taking property, police said.

Anyone with information on the burglaries is asked to call police at (312) 744-8263.
