3 shot in University Village

Three men were shot Monday night in the University Village neighborhood on the Near West Side.

The men, ages 20, 23 and 24, were sitting in a park about 10:50 p.m. in the 1300 block of South Blue Island when a group of males walked up and opened fire, according to Chicago Police.

The 20-year-old was shot in the right foot and the 24-year-old was shot in the right knee, police said. They were both taken to the University of Illinois Hospital & Health Sciences System, where they were both listed in good condition.

The 23-year-old man was shot in the buttocks and taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was stabilized.
