FIELD NOTES

FAWN OF THE WEEK: UNPLUGGED

Ken Gortowski photographed this inquisitive fawn off the Fox River. Eventually the doe and another fawn grunted the fawn away from him.

Usually this is Buck of the Week: Unplugged, the celebration of live big bucks around Chicago outdoors, and it runs Sundays on the outdoors page as warranted. Obviously, it was a fawn this week. Send nominations by Facebook (Dale Bowman), Twitter (@BowmanOutside) or email (straycasts@sbcglobal.net).
