Two teenage brothers were robbed at gunpoint while playing Pokémon Go Thursday night near Lake Villa.

The boys were playing the popular, new mobile game app shortly after 10 p.m. in a residential area near Morton Drive and Carol Lane in an unincorporated area near the north suburb when a car pulled up near them, two men got out, and one  pulled a gun and took their phones, according to the Lake County sheriff’s office.

Neither boy was hurt.

Detective Christopher Covelli said it was “the first robbery the sheriff’s office has investigated that has a link to Pokémon Go.”
