A man was critically wounded in a shooting late Friday in the Grand Boulevard neighborhood on the South Side.

The 26-year-old was shot in the head in the 4800 block of South Langley at 7:52 p.m., according to Chicago Police.

The shooter got out of a dark colored SUV and fired at the 26-year-old while he was inside a vehicle, police said. The shooting was believed to be gang-related.

He was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in critical condition, police said.
