A 19-year-oldman was shot in a leg as he was standing in the 6900 block of South Harper Avenue in South Shore just after 1:30 p.m., according to the police, who said he was being treated at Jackson Park Hospital.

The man was found unresponsive in an alley in the 10700 block of South Lowe Avenue, police said.
The man suffered head trauma and was pronounced dead at University of Chicago Medical Center, police said.
