A man was shot in the Englewood neighborhood on the South Side early Saturday morning.

The 27-year-old was shot in the abdomen and right leg while riding in a vehicle at 1:02 a.m. in the 1900 block of West 64th Street, according to Chicago Police. No one was in custody.

He was taken to Little Company of Mary Hospital in Evergreen Park, police said, but was expected to be transferred to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in serious condition.

Area South detectives are investigating.
