A man was shot and critically wounded early Sunday in the Washington Park neighborhood on the South Side.

The 22-year-old was parking a vehicle about 3:15 a.m. in the first block of East Garfield when a black SUV pulled up and someone inside fired shots, according to Chicago Police.

The man suffered gunshot wounds to the neck and right arm and was taken in critical condition to Stroger Hospital, police said.
