Two people were shot early Sunday in the Brighton Park neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

The 16-year-old boy and 34-year-old man were shot about 3:15 a.m. in the 2400 block of West 45th Street, according to Chicago Police.

The man suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the chest and was taken in critical condition to Stroger Hospital, police said. The teenager was shot in the left buttocks and right arm and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was stabilized.

Police said the shooting likely was gang-related and that the victims were not cooperating with the investigation.
