A man was shot early Sunday in the East Chatham neighborhood on the South Side.

About 1:30 a.m., the 37-year-old was walking on the sidewalk in the 7900 block of South Ingleside when another male fired multiple shots in his direction, according to Chicago Police.

The man was shot in the right hand and taken in good condition to Little Company of Mary Hospital in Evergreen Park, police said.
