A 17-year-old boy was shot and critically wounded Sunday evening in the East Garfield Park neighborhood on the West Side.

He was shot in the abdomen just before 6:30 p.m. in the 3500 block of West Huron, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition, police said.

Police initially said one person was in custody after the shooting, but as of Tuesday morning ,no arrests had been made and the investigation remained ongoing.
