Man shot in West Englewood

A man was wounded in a shooting late Monday in the West Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.

The 22-year-old was standing in the 6600 block of South Wolcott at 11:12 p.m. when he heard gunfire and realized he’d been struck, according to Chicago Police.

He was shot in the right leg and took himself to Holy Cross Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
