- Donald Trump and his family and Indiana Gov. Mike Pence, Trump’s vice presidential running mate, arrive in Cleveland on Wednesday afternoon, Day 3 of the Republican National Convention.
- Speakers at the Illinois Delegation breakfast include Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., and Illinois GOP House members Reps. John Shimkus, who is for Trump, and Rep. Adam Kinzinger, who is sitting on the fence.
- When the convention is gaveled to order at the Quicken Loans Arena the headliner is Pence, who will be introducing himself to many Americans for the first time. Other speakers include son Eric Trump – Trump has enough adult kids for each night – and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich.
