A 49-year-old man was shot late Friday in the Lawndale neighborhood on the West Side.

About 11:40 p.m., the man was reaching into his parked vehicle in the 4200 block of West Cermak when he heard gunfire followed by a vehicle speeding away and realized he was shot in the left arm, according to Chicago Police.

He took himself to Mount Sinai Hospital where he was listed in good condition, police said.
