Moon Alert

Until 10:30 p.m. Chicago time, we have the “all clear” to do business. The Moon is in Gemini.

Aries (March 21-April 19)

This is a busy day! Make a to-do list and start running. Don’t be hard on yourself if you can’t get everything done because it’s easy to be too optimistic today. But if you give yourself 10 things to do, you might do six. It was ever thus.

Taurus (April 20-May 20)

If shopping today, caution about going overboard and spending too much money. In business deals, your financial judgment might be off because you are inclined to see things through rose-colored glasses. (Those blue sunglasses look kinda cool, dontcha think?)

Gemini (May 21-June 20)

Today the Moon is in your sign, which makes you more emotional than usual. Added to the mix, we have Jupiter in the picture, which amplifies your feelings! Be careful because this can make you foolishly generous and capable of big gestures! (“Drinks on me!”)

Cancer (June 21-July 22)

This is a feel-good day. Give yourself a chance to enjoy some privacy or solitude so you can alphabetize your blessings. It’s so easy to get caught up in the busyness of things that you forget what really matters in life. (Dark chocolate and a nice car.)

Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)

You’ll enjoy hanging out with friends and groups today. Classes, casual get-togethers and conferences will be fun. However, do not be eager to volunteer for things or head up a committee because you might regret it. Easy does it. (“Long live the king!”)

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

In discussion with parents, bosses, VIPs and the police today, pull in your reins and be prudent because you might volunteer for something or overextend yourself because you want to impress someone or save the day. Just save yourself.

Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

You will love discussions about religion, philosophy and metaphysics. (Yeah, you want to audit a course at Hogwarts.) You’ll also enjoy making big travel plans or talking to cosmopolitan people about the big bad world. Basically, you want to expand your experience of life.

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

If you are making a decision about inheritances or how to divide something, especially shared property, be careful because you might give away the farm. Generosity is one thing but stupid largess is another. Don’t try to impress someone.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

This is an excellent day to enjoy warm relations with a close friend or your partner because you feel generous. But you don’t feel like working. You would rather hang out and party or take it easy. Don’t offer anything you’re not really prepared to give.

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

This is a happy day at work for most of you; however, your judgment is faulty because you might think that things are better than they are. The only downside is, you don’t feel like working too hard, which is OK. We all have those days (generally about four every week).

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

You will love schmoozing with others today! Make a point of enjoying musical performances, the arts, sports events and playful times with children. However, you will be wise to refrain from overdoing food and drink or taking on more than you can handle.

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)

If you’re talking to a family member, especially Mom, don’t make promises that you can’t keep. Keep this in mind and pull in a little to save yourself from having egg on your face later if things don’t pan out the way you hope. (Of course, hope is the feeling you have that the feeling you have isn’t permanent.)

If Your Birthday Is Today

Actress Margot Robbie (1990) shares your birthday today. People respect you because you are responsible and receptive to the wishes of others. You have an active fantasy life of which few are aware. A new nine-year cycle is beginning for you. This opens up many possibilities. You might start a new business activity or change residences. Open any door because your future is in your hands.
