A 17-year-old boy was shot in the Austin neighborhood Tuesday afternoon on the West Side.

About 4:40 p.m., the victim was on a corner in the 200 block of North Laramie when someone walked up and shot him in the upper left leg, according to Chicago Police.

The boy was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in good condition.

Police said the shooting likely was gang-related.
