A woman was shot Tuesday afternoon in the West Garfield Park neighborhood on the West Side.

The 26-year-old was in a vehicle about 7:20 p.m. traveling eastbound in the 4400 block of West Lake when someone in a dark blue van nearby opened fire, according to Chicago Police.

She was shot in the shoulder and taken in good condition to Mount Sinai Hospital, police said.
