The former owner of a tanning salon on the Near West Side has been charged with a fourth count of sexual assault and is being held without bail at the Cook County Jail.

Marc Winner, 45, who previously owned Soleil Tanning Salon at 1018 W. Madison St., was charged with sexual assault Wednesday, according to the Cook County state’s attorney’s office.

On Sept. 28, 2010, a 30-year-old female acquaintance gave Winner a ride from a local bar to his mother’s apartment in the 5400 block of North Sheridan, the state’s attorney’s office said. The woman went inside the apartment with him but later tried to leave, at which point he restrained and held her at knifepoint, according to prosecutors, who said he then cut her dress, shoved her ontothe couch and sexually assaulted her. She reported the incident two months later.

Winner was charged after she identified him in a photo array, the state’s attorney’s office said.

Winner is also accused of sexually assaulting a former employee in 2009 and sexually assaulting two customers in 2012 and 2015.
