Man shot in Pilsen

A man was shot in the Pilsen neighborhood Friday afternoon.

The 26-year-old was walking in the 1400 block of West 17th Street about 1:15 p.m. when someone walked up and shot him multiple times, according to Chicago Police.

He took himself to University of Illinois Hospital, but was later transferred to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
