A 19-year-old woman and 20-year-old man were wounded in a West Elsdon neighborhood shooting late Thursday on the Southwest Side.

About 10:15 p.m., they were walking in the 5400 block of South Kostner when they heard gunfire and realized they’d been hit, according to Chicago Police.

A bullet grazed the woman’s right thigh, and the man was shot in both legs, police said. They took themselves to MacNeal Hospital in Berwyn, where their conditions were stabilized.

Police said the man has documented gang ties. No one was in custody early Friday.
