Man shot in West Englewood

A man was shot in the West Englewood neighborhood early Saturday on the South Side.

The 29-year-old was standing on a corner about 2 a.m. in the 6500 block of South Ashland when he heard shots and realized he’d been shot in the back, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Holy Cross Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
