A 1-year-old boy fell to the ground from a third-floor window of an Austin apartment building Saturday but was conscious and crying when paramedics arrived, according to the police.

It happened around 6:45 p.m. in the 5600 block of West Washington Boulevard, according to the police, who didn’t immediately release other details except to say the boy was being treated at Stroger Hospital.
