A 14-year-old girl was shot early Monday in the Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.

About 1:10 a.m., she was walking with a group of females on the sidewalk in the 6800 block of South Perry when someone in the group fired a shot, according to Chicago Police.

The girl suffered a gunshot wound to the left side of the forehead and was taken to Comer Children’s Hospital, where her condition was stabilized, police said.

Less than two hours earlier, three people were wounded in a shooting on the same block.
