A 65-year-old man was fatally struck by a vehicle Saturday evening in southwest suburban Oak Lawn.

Ronald Dore was crossing the street in the 9000 block of Cicero Avenue at 6:14 p.m. when he was struck by a northbound 2000 Saturn sedan, according to Oak Lawn police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Dore, who lived on the same block, was not in the crosswalk when he was struck, authorities said.

He was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he died at 8:56 p.m., according to police and the medical examiner’s office. An autopsy Sunday ruled his death an accident.

Oak Lawn police are investigating the crash. No charges had been filed as of Tuesday morning.
