A 54-year-old Wisconsin man who was killed when he drove his car into the back of a semi truck last week near north suburban Wadsworth has been identified as Daniel Jozwiak.

About 1:30 p.m. on July 19, Jozwiak exited eastbound Interstate 94 in a Chevrolet Malibu, failed to yield to the semi as it went west on Russell Road, and slammed partially under its trailer, according to the Lake County sheriff’s office and the Kenosha County medical examiner’s office.

Jozwiak, of Hales Corners, Wisconsin, was taken to United Hospital System in Kenosha, Wisconsin, where he was pronounced dead, sheriff’s police said.

The semi driver was not hurt, police said.

No citations have been issued as police investigate the crash.
